'Breweries and Brew-Pubs in Franconia' translates its German title (there is no English translation but the beer assortment and brewery details plus many pictures gives a good idea of what the beer lover needs).
The book is in 3 sections as shown in the map - upper, middle and lower Franconia.
Oberfranken (Upper Franconia) is between Bamberg and Bayreuth with most breweries (~ 180), Mittelfranken covers the area around Nurnberg, Erlangen with ~ 65 breweries. Unterfranken is the homeland for wine eg Wurzburg with approx 50 breweries.
Interspersed are interesting aspects of brewery history, museums etc
In the back cover there is a pull out small map Frankischer Bieratlas - with 17 pages of the Franken regions identifying the breweries described in the book plus listings of the breweries with address, phone numbers and internet website details.
Full of beer and brewery information and interest for this beerland of Germany.
