Supporting the core of the book are useful brief essays on Amsterdam's history, Dutch cafe food, Beer Styles, and ending with the Featured Breweries and Beers, the Rise of Dutch breweries and a short appreciation of Amsterdam's famous creation of 'jenever' alias the English 'gin'.
Closing the book are a couple of maps - City of Amsterdam and the Central Area both locating the listed bars and useful travel info.
