An attractive mademoiselle with a hop garland on her left shoulder and a bunch of barley to her right, admiring her 'chope' of foaming Bière de Vèzelise and resting a wooden barrel carrying the brewery coat of arms.
Brasserie de Vézelise founded in 1863, owned by A. Moreau; expanded and in 1959 joined into the Union Lorraine de Brasseries. In 1971 Stella Artois bought the brewery along with others...and of course closed the brewery, in 1972.
