sub-titled 'A Guide to over 350 of the Finest Beers known to man'....well, so be it!
The first 'swamp' is what is 'Craft Beer'?...Mark Dredge identifies qualities for this term ... and then selects the beers he likes, called Craft Beers!
Into Part 2 'The World's Greatest Beers' there are dozens of beer styles from Belgian Blond to Extreme Beer each with Mark's good handful selection of beers each with an illustration and description and an introduction to each style. The selection is unlimited - from England, Japan, USA, Belgium, South Africa, Czech, Spain, Mexico, Australia, Germany and so on; most of the beers shown are bottled but cask ales are included and cans too. Just to show the book's comprehensive inclusivity a page is open showing 'High Wire - from Huddersfield's Magic Rock Brewery' and on the same page one from Indiana, USA and another from Tel Aviv, Israel.
So it is not a picture book of multi national 'world beers' from the usual suspects who snaffle up all the remaining large breweries, but a large treasure chest of interesting beers to the beer lover.
