This edition has been superceded by the 2nd Edition.

This is the full ** CAMRA National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors in England, Northern Ireland,Scotland and Wales which now supercedes the small booklist of the CAMRA National Inventory Pubs originated in 1999.The National Inventory pubs have interiors unaltered since 1945 or have some specific features or rooms of national significance. Note that the other CAMRA booklets on Real Heritage Pubs (Yorkshire, Scotland, Wales etc) include not only their National Inventory listed pubs but also other pubs having interiors of some regional interest - so the Regional publications list and describe many more pubs than those in 'Britains Best Real Heritage Pubs'.
Besides the main part of the book - descriptions and excellent photos of interiors and features, there are many supporting articles ie What Shaped Britain's Pubs?, Tiles, Table Service, Games, Glass & Glazing, Micro-Brewers, Closed Pubs and many other fascinating snippets.
A well worthwhile book for this most important part of our present and future environment.

** NB: This is the 1st Edition.
