Guide to the 37 Regional Breweries, Microbreweries and Brewpubs in the State of Indiana. Indiana wasn't known particularly for breweries (though it used to make Studebaker cars), and the handful of breweries who survived Prohibition were swallowed up by 1960 leaving the mammoth brewers like AB and Coors who dominated local markets. After 1993 brewpubs in Indiana were legalised and a generation of microbreweries, brewpubs and craft breweries started. The book covers 5 geographical areas - Chicagoland & Great Lakes, Central Indiana, Indianopolis, Bloomington, and Southern Indiana. Each brewery is fully described - their history, the people, the brewery and the beers brewed. Useful simple map of the State (and Counties) with brewery locations. Good background to Indiana too.
