A very interesting personal history of the author starting as a lab assistant at Tennants in Sheffield (before it was Whitbreaded), then progressed around the Whitbread breweries in Yorkshire and to Castle Eden in Co. Durham wher he became Master Brewer. Eventually, disillusioned with the changes and management he left the industry. A fascinating story of working in the takeover times of British breweries.
