Steel sign reproduction of John Smith's advert for their once popular Magnet Pale Ale. Advert, from the 1950's shows a glamorous young lady with a full glass of the Tadcaster nectar and a close up of typical glass-ful from that era; the slogan is "A Magnet for me!"
John Smith's were one of the 3 large Tadcaster breweries and Magnet was their brand; independent until 1970 when it was taken over by Courage, but still brewing as part of the Scottish Courage group (2007).
Steel sign is flat, fairly lightweight with corner fixing holes.
