This book has an excellent collection of photographs showing the rich heritage of Hull pubs (though sadly many were destroyed either by wartime bombing or municipal destruction), and also photos of Hull’s former breweries. There are many examples shown of the typical tiled exteriors of Hull Brewery pubs and the Victorian gin palace large pubs and the earlier pubs of the Old Town. Finally an interesting miscellany of interesting photos of adverts, pub groups and licensees, bombed pubs and a guided tour of the brewery logos remaining on Hull pubs.
